The Mr World 2016 competition is scheduled to hold in the UK today, 19th July 2016 and different eligible men from all over the world would battle for the coveted title of Mr World. Who do you think has a shot at winning? Mr Nigeria is the guy on the extreme right.

But before this competition which is designed to test the candidates in a variety of ways through a series of challenge events, interviews and a final stage show goes down, lets have a closer look at the hunky contestants representing Africa.

Say hello to 25-year-old Selorm Tay from Ghana!

Selorm lives in Accra, Ghana’s capital city. A Marketing graduate, he aims to start his own chain of fitness centres across Ghana, utilising his entrepreneurial skills. Fitness is important to Selorm, who enjoys playing basketball, swimming and working out to stay trim. A caring individual, he enjoys spending time with his family, and volunteers at the local orphanage, teaching literacy and basketball to the children.

Representing Kenya is 20-year-old Kelvin Oduwor Owiti

Kevin is a Business Management student from Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. With an athletic build, he loves to play all kinds of sports, from football to kickboxing, and he is a keen musician, particularly the drums. Aside from business, he is keen on modelling and hopes to make a name for himself internationally in the future. His favourite music is gospel, and his favourite book is Ben Carson’s Think Big.

Flying Nigeria’s flag at the Mr World show is Micheal Amilo. He’s 27!

Michael loves fashion. A Medical Science graduate and ex-gym trainer, he has the brains and the brawn to do whatever he wants, and fashion is what he wants, aiming to learn about fashion design in the UK. Swimming, working out and dance also interest Michael, as well as spending quality time with family and friends. Hip Hop, RnB, and gospel are his favourite music genres.

South Africa
Last but not least is South Africa’s Armand Du Plessis who is also 27.

Armand hails from Johannesburg, where he is a Candidate Attorney. With two Law degrees, his ambition is to become an advocate, potentially for disenfranchised children. When relaxing, Armand loves to travel, revelling in new lands and new words, whilst giving him a chance to work on his photography.

His favourite artist is Josh Groban, and he particularly enjoys Italian and South African cuisine.
